curriculum, syllabus and the course profile

All courses are based on a frame curriculum designed for each level of proficiency. The whole-year syllabus reflects the students’ needs and the course profile.
We offer the following course profiles:
  • general - Students develop communicative skills, which they can use in everyday life. When the course is finished, the students are able to communicate in a foreign language in everyday situations, such as: in a restaurant, shop, when travelling, etc., he/she can also communicate in the context of family life, social contacts, hobbies and interests.
  • general with elements of business - Students develop general competence in a foreign language, which is interwoven with elements of business language. Throughout the training, course participants develop communicative skills, which they can use in everyday life as well as in the working environment, e.g. business lunch, business trip, meetings, presentations.
  • business - The course is focused on business language. Students develop communicative skills, which they can use in professional life, e.g. presentations, negotiations, business correspondence, meetings. It is advisable to use work-related authentic materials to tailor the course to the students’ needs in the optimal way.
  • examination - The aim of the course is to prepare students to widely recognized exams. The training is focused not only on language improvement, but also on learning particular examination techniques.
  • specialist - The training is focused on narrow areas of work-related language. The content of the course is strictly related to students’ needs and may cover for example: law, finances, accounting, banking, IT, engineering.
