To prepare for the course, take a look at The Ultimate Guide to CELTAWritten by experienced CELTA trainers, it gives a great overview of what to expect and how to prepare. A lighthearted read but with a lot of practical advice.

To help you with the terminology, theory and practice, the CELTA “bible” has to be Jim Scrivener’s Learning Teaching. Now in a new third edition, well worth the investment.

A useful ELT glossary can be found here - https://celtaconfessions.wordpress.com/acronyms/  - useful to survive week 1 and to help with the pre-course task.

Scott Thornbury’s glossary of ELT is also a great resource - https://scottthornbury.wordpress.com/ and might just tempt you to take the DELTA!

A fun and fairly accurate blog about CELTA can be found here: https://settit.wordpress.com/2012/08/31/what-is-the-celta-really-like-week-1-and-2/ although Settit seems to have been very lucky with the dreaded week 3!
